OK I suppose we should do the obligatory post to compare specs for our main rigs. I’ll start.
- Intel I7-12700kf
- Chunky Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black cooler
- 64gb DDR-3600
- Asus Radeon 3600 card (wouldn’t have minded higher, but this was when buying anything higher still required you to remortgage your house)
- Samsung 1tb Gen4 NVME + Samsung 500gb 970 Evo

When I built my right, I was almost tempted to go the I9 over the I7. It was a huge jump in price though – my wallet convinced me the I7 was the better option.
